o Hands-on experience in industrial safety for
a multi-national organization
o Strong knowledge of safety, health and
environmental standards and managing
related compliances in India
o Knowledge of cement industry, RM to
manufacturing and overall value chain
o Policy formulation and implementation
o Audit and certification management
Decisions to be taken to Manager
 Submissions & Ensure Safety Road Map for
compliance
 Finalization of industrial safety reporting and
regulatory reporting
 Procurement of Quality safety equipment (PPE)
 Resolution of NOCs arising from audits (internal
and external audits)
 Finalization of safety policies and procedures

Main Accountabilities

Zero accidents and Safety reporting
 Develop a system & Analyze incidents/ accidents within the organization & check robustness of emergency response plans and
provide inputs towards formulation of JK Cement’s Safety initiatives across India RM and manufacturing locations
 Participate in data reviews of plant safety monthly performance & reports. Monitor market trends and changes in the regulatory
Safety and guidelines; ensure organization readiness to implement changes and provide strategic inputs to management on the
same.
Safety SOPs and operations
 Drive design and implementation of OHS directives / Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and practices across the
organization.
 Develop and implement a framework for company of safety risks to enable the business to make informed decisions; ensure
effective implementation of the proposed solutions (procurement of quality PPE) and risk mitigation framework to minimize potential
impact on profitability / brand and reputation
Compliance management
 Monitor adherence to defined Safety policies, procedures and standards and ensure that all deviations / non-compliances are
resolved in a timely manner
 Ensure Compliances on ISO requirements.
 Liaise with concerned government authorities to represent company’s interests in safety and health policy making decisions; set up
appropriate interface mechanisms with regulatory agencies to ensure complete compliance
Internal and External Safety Audit
 Coordinate with departments to ensure that all statutory safety related certifications for the respective departments are procured and
non-conformities are resolved in a timely manner
 Design and manage safety audits for all departments and production sites and ensure implementation of the same as per defined
timelines and scope
 Ensure completion of internal / external Safety compliance requirements and management audits in a timely manner
Industrial safety systems and training
 Develop the Safety communication strategy for the organization to ensure effective dissemination of information with respect to
implementation of safety norms, issues, measures taken etc. to internal and external stakeholders.
 Facilitate development & improvements of safety technology/knowledge by identifying & recommending safety training programmes
to embed a culture of safety in employees and contract employees
