Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee tolling operations across multiple third-party manufacturing units, ensuring smooth production, adherence to quality and process standards, timely dispatches, cost efficiency, and alignment with company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Tolling Operations Management

  • Coordinate and monitor daily operations at tolling units to ensure timely and efficient production of paints and coatings.
  • Ensure strict adherence to batch production schedules and dispatch timelines.
  • Liaise with tolling partners for raw material planning, production updates, and resolving bottlenecks.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure tollers follow standard manufacturing processes (SOPs, BMRs, etc.).
  • Conduct periodic audits and inspections to maintain quality and compliance with ISO, environment, and safety norms.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control and CTS (Customer Technical Services) for complaint resolution and process improvements.

3. Inventory & Material Management

  • Coordinate with SCM for timely availability of RM/PM at tolling sites.
  • Track material consumption, yield norms, and highlight deviations or abnormal usages.
  • Manage stock levels at tolling units, including reconciliation of raw material and finished goods.

4. Cost Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor tolling costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
  • Ensure claims, debit notes, and rejections are managed as per agreements.

5. Documentation & MIS

  • Maintain and submit periodic reports on production, consumption, quality, and efficiency.
  • Ensure timely documentation of BMRs, process records, wastage, and daily reports.
  • Generate analytical insights and exception reports for management review.

6. Cross-functional Coordination

  • Interface with R&D, Procurement, Planning, Sales, and Logistics for seamless tolling operations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalations related to tolling output or service failures.

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong knowledge of paint manufacturing processes
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good negotiation and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of SAP / ERP systems
  • Familiarity with ISO, EHS standards, and tolling agreements
  • Proficient in MS Excel and report generation

Qualification & Experience:

B.Tech / B.Sc / Diploma – Chemistry / Paint Technology / Chemical Engineering

3–6 years of experience in Toll Manufacturing / Contract Manufacturing in Paint or Chemical Industry

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in handling multiple tolling partners
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask
  • Willingness to travel frequently to tolling sites
